Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using The List app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Description of Service

The List is a personal wishlist and recommendation app for places such as coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and breweries. You can save places, rate them, organize them into lists, and share lists with friends. Some features require a paid subscription (The List Pro).

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab in the app, which permanently removes your account and all associated data.

Subscriptions and Payments

The List Pro is available as a monthly subscription, yearly subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Prices are set in App Store Connect and may vary by region.

User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create in The List, including your saved places, ratings, notes, and lists. By sharing lists or connecting with friends, you grant other users permission to view the content you choose to share. You agree not to use the app to post content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringes on the rights of others.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the app, including but not limited to: attempting to access other users' accounts, reverse engineering the app, using automated systems to scrape data, or interfering with the app's infrastructure. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Intellectual Property

The List app, its design, code, and branding are owned by The List and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without prior written permission. Place data displayed in the app is sourced from Apple MapKit and is subject to Apple's terms of service.

Disclaimers

The List is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of place information, ratings, or recommendations. We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on information in the app. Service availability may be interrupted for maintenance or due to circumstances beyond our control.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The List and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for The List Pro in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the app shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
